Our mission, vision and motto
These three things shape how we teach and how we treat one another.
Our mission
To deliver quality education in a Christian environment, equipping our students spiritually and academically to lead and impact the lives of one another, the people of Cambodia and beyond.
Our vision
God-Centered Thinkers, Intentional Learners, Nation Builders and Servant leaders That is what we hope each child who passes through this school will grow into.
Our motto
LEARN . SERVE . LEAD Learn well. Serve the people around you. Lead with integrity when your turn comes.
RICE: what we teach every day
Resilience, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence. The stalks of rice on our school crest stand for these four.
Resilience
Some days learning is hard. We teach children to keep going, to try again, and to finish what they start.
Integrity
Doing what is right when nobody is watching. Honesty in class, in examinations, and with friends.
Compassion
Noticing when someone needs help, and then helping. Our pupils look after their classmates and their neighbours.
Excellence
Ordinary work done carefully and well, whether that is a page of mathematics, a football match, or a song.
What children learn here
A full education from Grade 1 to Grade 12, grounded in Christian principles and built around the whole child.
Grades 1 to 12
One school, Grade 1 to Grade 12
A child can start with us in Grade 1 and stay through to Grade 12. Our pupils sit Cambodia’s national examinations; the first Grade 9 class did so in 2012 and the first Grade 12 class in 2016.
Christian Foundation
A Christian education
We are a Christian school, and faith shapes the ordinary parts of the school day. We want to equip our students spiritually as well as academically, and to see them grow into people of integrity, discipline, resilience and compassion.
Beyond Lessons
Where character is practised
Five student clubs give pupils somewhere to practise leading and serving: Student Leaders, the Football Club, the Music Club, the Youth Brigade and the Alumni Club.
See our student clubsLooking after the teachers
A school is only as good as the people standing in front of the class, so the school invests in them deliberately.
Time set apart
Teachers and staff go on retreat regularly. The work is demanding and the school treats rest and reflection as part of it, not as time taken away from it.
Training every year
Educators from Singapore come out each year to train the teaching staff — so that what is taught here keeps pace, and so that teachers are not left to work it out alone.
Seeing other schools
Teachers are sent on visits to educational institutions abroad. Seeing how other schools work is one of the surest ways of bringing something back to your own classroom.
Our school hymn
Pupils, teachers and staff sing this together at Glad Tidings International School.

“Bless Our School”
Bless our school, dear God we pray
Make it safe by night and day
Bless us with integrity
Keep us in Lord Jesus’ way
Bless the teachers, Lord, we ask
May they find joy in their task
Bless all people who serve this school
May they find your presence true
May our work be pleasing to you
From now till eternity!
